Arthur Clare-Hay - Divisional Director, HR & IT

Arthur joined the Lloyd Fraser Group with a back ground of experience as Director of Operations and HR in a variety of businesses with North American and European cultures. Responsible for HR, Group Information and Quality Systems he deploys a strong strategic capability based on an extensive business and legal knowledge in a persistent and pragmatic manner. His work provides counsel for management, organisational and personal development, with strong links to Leicester University along with systems and process improvements.

A firm believer in individual and collective capability that is driven by the view that "we cannot do tomorrows business on yesterdays know-how". Tenacious and success orientated he keeps physically fit and mentally agile through Fell Running and Mountain Marathons.

 

Mike Faye - Operations Director

An original member of the management team, Mike left the position of Distribution Centre Manager at Tesco Plc to join Lloyd Fraser at start-up in July 1987 as General Manager of ASDA's first multi temperature Regional Distribution Centre. Now the main board Director of Operations he is responsible for the expanding Retail Division.

Involved in operations and development throughout the last 30 years, Mike has overseen successful start ups in the FMCG, Home Delivery, and Automotive sectors. He is passionate about people and the importance of motivating teams to perform at the highest level on behalf of their customer.

 

Graeme Johns - Divisional Director, Finance

Graeme joined Lloyd Fraser in 1996, having previously worked in commercial roles for both Tibbett and Britten Group plc and Wincanton. His passion for making a difference inspired him to seek a role with an organisation which provided an alternative to the mainstream suppliers. He has experience in 3PL market sectors including multi temperature food, clothing, building and DIY products and bulk liquids.

An associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, he is responsible for Group finance and the commercial area of the business whilst retaining a hands-on approach in supporting the separate Business units.

 

Neil McConchie - Executive Chairman & Managing Director

Neil left a position of Divisional Director with Tesco plc, and founded the business in 1987 with the benefit of a two year BWS distribution contract from Asda stores, located in old aircraft hangers on the old Bitteswell Airdrome, near Lutterworth. The location blossomed into Magna Park, and has become one of the focal logistical locations in the UK. He has extensive experience, with both in house and third party operations. Market sector specialities include multi temperature food, non-food consumables, building and DIY products and bulk liquids, particularly milk.

Currently, the Executive Chairman and MD of the Group, he leads the Divisional Board and has overall strategic responsibility. He also retains active involvement in all the different operational divisions supporting each Divisional Director to enjoy operational control and responsibility - a firm advocate of the Freedom within a Framework culture.

 

Catherine Sharp - Divisional Director, Fashion

Cath has been with Lloyd Fraser for over 16 years joining as a Business Development Manager in 2000 and moving to head up the Development team in 2006. In 2008, after Lloyd Fraser entered into the Fashion Logistics sector, Cath became the Director responsible for both operations and development of the division and has overseen its growth year on year. Prior to Lloyd Fraser, she worked for five years with NHS Logistics as Performance Manager and six years with Tesco Plc as a Productivity Analyst.

 

Keith Spencer - Divisional Director, Bulk Liquids

Keith joined Lloyd Fraser from Tibbett and Britten where he held various logistics roles ranging from running the intermodal rail facility at Daventry International Railfreight Terminal (D.I.R.F.T) to hauling baked beans nationwide from East Anglia.

A career logistician for over 30 years Keith originally joined Bass Brewers as Management Trainee straight from University and subsequently enjoyed a successful career with Argos Distributors prior to Tibbett and Britten.  Keith has been with Lloyd Fraser since 1999, originally joining as General Manager (Milk) and subsequently being made Divisional Director a few years ago having grown the business threefold from £7m originally to over £21m today.
