With 33 industrial sites and 500 vehicles, primarily our impact on the environment is in such areas as energy conservation and vehicle fleet management.
All sites must comply with our corporate policy ensuring paper, cardboard, plastics, wood, ink cartridges and PCs are recycled through the appropriate channels monitored monthly as a Key Performance Indicator of the business.
Year-on-year the exhaust emission levels of our heavy goods vehicle fleet are improving. As a result both environmental and business benefits are being achieved. Emissions will be further reduced this year with the arrival of the 'Euro 4' standard for heavy commercial vehicle exhaust emissions.
We constantly search for ways of improving the efficiency of our customer supply chains. Options that make sound business sense, lowering fleet sizes and fuel usage often make sound environmental sense. Driving cost and inefficiency out of our business complements our aim to operate with minimum impact on our shared environment.
