The Lloyd Fraser Group HR Policies and business ethics are based on our Freedom within a Framework which provides a working climate where difficult questions can be raised and replied to in a positive way. With is framework in mind we are committed to playing our part to tackling hidden labour exploitation. We work in conjunction with supply agencies and other service organisations where hidden labour exploitation may exist including rogue individuals working within these businesses without the knowledge of management. This could include payment for work finding/introductions and work related exploitation such as the forced use of accommodation.

Coverage:

This Policy Statement covers all Lloyd Group Companies and their workplaces.

Responsibility:

The Divisional Director of HR & Systems has overall responsibility for this Policy among others. The Group Divisional Directors are responsible for ensuring the implementation development and ongoing application of this Policy across their respective business units.

Policy Commitments shall:

  • Ensure that appropriate management awareness and responsibility training takes place.
  • Ensure that all staff responsible for recruiting colleagues is aware of the issues around third party exploitation and signs to look for appropriate recruit compliance principles.
  • The Company will not use any organisation or individual to source and supply colleagues without confirmation that workers are not being charged a work finding fee.
  • Adopt a proactive approach to reporting suspicions of hidden worker exploitation to the Gangmasters Licensing Authority and Police.
  • Ensure that labour sourcing, recruitment and colleague placements are under the control of trusted and competent staff members.
  • Require labour providers and other organisations in the supply chain to adopt policies and procedures consistent with the above.

  • Not allow applicants to complete registration documents on behalf of others.
  • Not accept any money, favours or gifts at all from suppliers of applicants, applicants or workers.
  • Not loan any personal money to temporary workers.
  • Not allow an unauthorised agent or individual to introduce applicants to the Company.
  • Notify the Divisional Director when suspecting an individual of introducing job applicants for personal gain.
  • Treat all applicants with Dignity and Respect in accordance with our Dignity at Work Policy
